How to make Playdough
Cup of Salt
Cup of Flour
Cup of Water
2 tbs bicarbonate of Soda
Mix altogether you can do it cold or heat it
up in a pan.
Why not add some scents –
Use flavoured tea bags, vanilla essence,
mint/lavender or coffee
Why not add some textures: Glitter, rice,
pasta, couscous and shells
GLOOP PLAY
Corn flour
Water
Mix till you get a gloopy sticky texture
And then have lots of fun
BEAN GAMES
Mexican Bean – Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriba
Jelly Bean - wibbly wobble
Broad Bean - arms out to the side with slow and heavy movements
French Bean - stand with hands on hips and say 'o la la' - or call out Un, Deux,Trois
Jumping Bean - jump up and down.
Baked Beans - we stand with arms out and head back .. soaking up the sun.
Bush Bean - Australian outback .. trek wearily across the hot ground ..
Runner Bean - running on spot.
Baked Bean - lying on floor flat out fanning self as if sunbathing.
Butter Bean - skating and slipping about.
Mixed Beans - Let the Children choose which bean & action they all want to do !!
Bean Sprout - curled up bean .. growing up tall & 'sprouting
Actions – Mummy’s, daddy’s and carers shout out the following
Port – run to one side of room/area
Starboard – run to other side
Scrub the deck – Scrub floor
Climb the rigging – Climb up
Dig for treasure – pretend to dig
Aye Aye Captain – Hand to forehead to salute & Shout “Aye Aye Captain”
Shark – Run round & person shouting out commands has to be shark and catch children
